Hi Nikki,

Would this be Ann's death? -

Ann E Brack
Birth Date - abt 1913
Date of Registration - Jun 1936
Age at Death - 23
Camberwell, London
Vol 1d Page 743

If so it gives us a birth year to work with  :)

JJ

Looking at the index image I think the age at death was 25 rather than 23

Kay

Good spot, it does look like 25  :)

She was 100% born in 1910 in lambeth. Married in 1928 and died in 1936. My nan is still alive so remembers her mum well although she died an awful death so young. I can't find any further information following what I already know I haven't a clue who her parents were all I know is she had a brother called Ruben no sure on spelling. Thank you all so much xx

I wonder if Ann Ellen is listed on FreeBMD as  Hannah E? Mcallister born  Sept Qtr 1910  Greenwich    1d   956 ??? The middle initial is based on the image

You mentioned a brother Ruben, there was a Reuben Mcallister born 2nd qtr 1912, transcription for his name is  Rewirueben McAllister ::) Mother's maiden name Lowther.

He is on a number of electoral rolls in Lambeth during the forties, wife is Winifred.

There is a Henry McAllister/Mary Ann Lowther marriage in June qtr 1910 Greenwich.

If you look at the original scan the handwritten supplementary entry is at the bottom of the page.  They attempted to spell 'Reuben', got it wrong, tried to cross it out (but not very well) and then wrote 'Rueben' (so still getting it wrong).  I think you would find that this supplementary entry was to correct the original registration where his name was entered as 'Ruby'.
