Hi Tara thanks for your input, yes it is interesting the research you have done so far for me.  I know nothing about Ireland I just know Kathleen came from there and it is possible she lived in the area of Queen's County at Dysartgallen?

I have never heard anyone mention her as being called 'Kate' but I realise it is a shortened version of Kathleen.  Kathleen would have left the home by 1911 as she was living in Llandrillo Yn Rhos Wales and married my grandfather in 1913 so that would fit in with why she was not on a 1911 census of Ireland but on the 1911 census of England and Wales?

I am hoping this will prove to be the family and will try to do some more research.  They were a catholic family as my grandfather was also.  I am a little surprised they got married in a registry office though being catholic,but it was 1913 and the Great War was looming large.  Her and Grandfather were 23 at the time of marriage and he went off to war shortly after they  married. They only had one child - my father.

A few thoughts that may help your search
what brought a young lady to Wales
Did she have a relative working in the hotel who invited her over,are there any other Irish at that address in 1911
who were the witnesses at the marriage have you found these on the 1911 census.

As Dathai said, a lot of work needs to be done in Wales and possibly England too.

You need to start with the 1911 census.

Look at all her neighbours, see are any of them possibly related.

Look to see if she is possibly on the 1901 census ~ I have given options for her on our 1901 Census but that's not to say that it's her.

Look on the Welsh, English census to see if you can see her family.

Don't get hung up on the variants of her name; it's one of those nightmare Christian names that has a HUGE amount of possibilities ~ check with C AND K as the starting letter on each one too.

Do you know who your Dad's Godparent's were ?

Might be leads there !

Who were her witness' at her marriage ?

Might be leads there !
