Jeremiah Dowland & Mary Harris Marriage Lookup please

I have found the marriage of my ancestor Jeremiah Dowland (or Dowling) to Mary Harris in Downton on the 26th December 1781. I was wondering if anyone as anymore information on the marriage (ie witnesses etc).

Where have you found it? The place that would give the most information would be the Parish records and they often don't give more than names, parishes and status. Parents aren't usually mentioned at that time.

As stated by Groom, very little info is recorded in the registers.

However, in the transcripts issued by the Wilts FHS CD (CDM 2 Wilts South East);

Jeremiah Dowland  abode, Britford and Mary Harris of this parish by Banns.

Thats all there is recorded.
