And now where to look?
My cousin gave me stories / info about our grandfather, Charlie, as he took up with another woman in 1950 and was referred to as "J" (Jay or Jessie) and shared a photo of Charlie at his residence 231 Eastfield Rd., Peterborough.
Charlie & "J" used to take my cousin to a sweets shop (confectionery) on Fitzwilliam Street.
Name of the shop F T Adams.
Anyone recognize this?
Also, Charlie was "in service" and was very adamant he would not speak about it but I do have one very faint photo of him in black jacket with tails and white shirt & tie. Very formal attire.
How would I find Charlie's employment records?
