I have discovered Marjorie was my Godmother, I am now 70, did she have any children, who was her family at her death - I thing she was my mothers bridesmaid
Hi there,
I would expect that your Godmother was one of the witnesses at your mother's marriage, and as bridesmaid she may have signed the certificate.
Do you have a copy of the marriage registration?
Here is a newspaper cutting regarding Marjorie's parents. It refers to Marjorie by all her given names and as Mrs Winnie, and gives her parents address, and her Dad's occupation. My late Gran often said to me "Don't believe anything you read in that RAG, especially if you also heard it over the back fence", however, there's names and addresses and dates and other family history details in the article that may help to give clues to confirm or eliminate this particular Marjorie from your enquiries.

The Divorce papers for Marjorie's parents are held at NSW State Records Office.
