What year where you're grandparents married? it will narrow down the years to look for other marriages for either Frank or Isaac

They got married in 1957 so his previous marriage had to be prior to this date.

There is a Frank Bland marriage in 1921 in Scarborough to a Darwent and on Freebmd it shows 2 possible births from this marriage.

Apart from the 1957 marriage which i'm assuming will be yours i can't see another possible marriage for a Isaac Bland when i put Frank Bland in it also shows the same marriage so i can see why you're confused.

It also shows Bland as an alternative maiden name for the bride. ???
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

I seen that also and on a tree online they have Isaac Bland marrying a Darwent in 1957 but i have found Frank Bland marrying a Darwent in 1921 and then there is the 1957 marriage record saying Bland or Ground

I would personally buy the 1921 wedding cert to see what that says

sorry for the late reply but Thank you all again for your help. We are going to get the marriage and birth certificates and see what they say. and hopefully we can go back further from there.
