Have you seen this index?  http://www.wolverhamptonhistory.org.uk/resources/indexes
Scroll down for St Peter.  In baptisms 1538-1812 K-Z (image 140/644) is MOSS Ann daughter of Francis 18 (and 25!) Jul 1746 - going on 10 years after the marriage of Francis to Susannah Chaplain.  Others lower down and on following page.

Where did Susannah disappear to?

Dion.
Upton, Bishops Wood, Staffordshire.  Jones, Nant-yr-Ych, Aberhafesp, Montgomeryshire.  Evans, Kinnerley, Flintshire.  Dennis, Breedon-on-the-Hill, Leicestershire.  Brown, Red Lake, Wellington, Shropshire.

Staffsnameindexes has 2 entries for the name Francis Moss in Lichfield Will but both seem 2 early to be relevant for your man.
Have added info here in case you find another Francis when you get back further

Maybe a bit off track here but...
Find my Past has a apprentice record for a Francis Moss (apprentice) dated 1721 in Tamworth.
Gives Fathers name as Francis.
He is apprenticing to Samuel Radford , a Tallowchandler of Tamworth

There is also a record in 1741 for a Francis Moss as a master taking on his own apprentice Charles Buckland. He is a soapmaker from Wolverhampton.
Another in 1752 - chandler of Wolverhampton
1755 - Soapboiler Wolverhampton

Jones, Davies, Evans, Williams, Daniel, Thomas - Glamorgan
Keen, Goodwin, Pyatt, Leese, Bailey, Loffill, Stubley, Brassington, Blurton,  - Staffs

Looks pretty convincing.  I'd spotted the Tamworth baptism and the Wolverhampton indenture, but didn't put the two together.
