According to Google they are two different places but only about 2 miles apart.

Hello,

1841 shows that Amos and Abi, 10 yrs are 'not born in County' unlike the others.

Abi's marriage in 1855, in Bradpole,  shows her father to be William and Amos is a witness.

It looks as though you have the right one in 1841.

thank you very much -i was getting confused i also have him in 1851 as a boarder born in mickleton , somerset
so i can safely assume that these are his siblings and something has happened to their parents
thanks

No it doesn't show deceased but that often happens.

Can i ask follow up questions on this post or do i need to open a new post?
ive hit a problem researching the children listed in the 1841 census mentioned above
heres where im at
- marriage William Collins to Anne Hyde 1813 loders Dorset
1815 birth Richard Collins  loders dorset
1818 birth Susanna collins beaminster dorset
1822 birth Levi Collins loders dorset
1824 birth Ellen hyde collins dorset
1828 birth AMOS collins misterton Somerset
1831 birth Abi Collins misterton somerset
they all seem to be siblings but no sign of parents with them in 1841-amos was a witness at abis marriage and in 1851 abi is living with her sister ellen who had married
all was fitting together really smoothly until i looked at ellens birth which showed her mother as Sarah -the others before and after are ann
i wondered if there had been 3 wives but cant find any records death or marriage to confim this
the only other thing i can think is that i have the wrong record for ellen  but it seems a heck of a coincidence for her middle name to be hyde -annes surname - and my great grandfather had hyde as a middle name as did my uncle
my gg grandfather is AMOS so i need to know if his mum was ann hyde or another ann
thanks for any help
