Hoping to find who lived at 323 Basford Road Nottingham, the names I am after are Alfred Noel,Martha Leesing/Noel.He said he lived at that address 1917 can anyone help.

I have done my best for you but as far as I can see there doesn't seem to have been a 323, Basford Road in Nottingham in 1911. I can't seem to find a basford Road at all in Nottingham then but there was a High Street in Basford itself which later became Basford Road. The numbers on that High Street in 1911 seem to have stopped around 262. I'm really sorry. I also drew a blank for the names you gave. Do you have anything else which might pinpoint either the address or the people?

I have only been able to find a Fred Leesing b1883 in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire who worked as a fish dock labourer in 1911. I cannot find anyone in the age range of 1870 to 1900 named Alfred Noel Leesing or varients of that name. Sorry.

The only things I can find are not Basford or Notts -- there were 2 births with surname Noel and mmn Leesing in Louth in the early 1920s, and a Martha Stancer Leesing m Louth 1865, and another Martha Louisa Leesing b Grimsby 1898.

I can't see a Noel/Leesing marriage; however, Martha Louisa Noel d Louth 1975, with a given birth year of 1897. This Martha seems to have been in Lincolnshire in 1939 as well.

   I have the address of Alfred Noel 1917 and 1923 as 323 Basford Rd Nottm he could have made the address up he did a runner in the 1920,s never to be seen again.

The Alfred Noel you are referring to is my grandfather.  He married Martha Louisa (Patty) Leesing in 1917 in Nottingham (but no records to support this).  He seems to have disappeared in the 1920's but was in fact in Belgium (have immigration record to support this). His father was Edwin James Noel (born 14/1/1853 in Jersey).  Have lots more information tracing the family line back to the 1500's in Jersey.

There can't be many streets with numbers as high as 323.  Should it be 323 Nottingham Road, which I think was in Basford?

The address is given as Nottingham Road, Basford on my father's birth certificate (Alfred's son).
