No family connection, but local to St Andrews.

If you Google "Hugh Lyon Playfair" you'll find loads of information, photographs, etc., for him

Good day.  I have a fair amount of material on H.L.P., more interested in finding more on Margaret Adelaide, who was my gr-gr-grandmother.  Died in India, January 1848, 1 month after the birth of my gr-grandfather.
BTW, I also have Crawfords in my family.  My gr-grandmother was Caroline Georgina Hague Crawford, daughter of Angus Crawford and Isabella Lawrie.
