Completed-Arthur Clinton at Harraton 1820-22
« on: Tuesday 12 July 05 21:29 BST (UK) »
Still trying to trace marriage of Arthur Clinton to Sarah Noble 1820-1822. Found a reference in Durham Mining website that might indicate they were married at All saints Painshaw (Now Penshaw). Would this be listed in Chester-le Street? If it is not I would appreciate a lookup in the relevant Parish register.
Thanks Geoff

Hi Joyce.
yes I have that Arthur Clinton, its his father Arthur Clinton born 1792 and married between 1820-1824 that I am trying to trace.
I have no record of where he was either born or married.
Thanks for your reply.
Geoff

Geoff

I am a descendant of Thomas Clinton born 1854, brother of George Clinton the clarinetist. Our family would like to know more about provenance of Arthur Clinton who appears in an 1823 census as having been born in 1792 - but where? We are also interested in establishing the link between Arthur Clinton and his possible Irish connections. I look forward to any further information you discover.
