Death Certificate - Military Death in Germany 1958
« on: Tuesday 22 September 15 12:41 BST (UK) »
I've found a relative who died at RAF Sylt in Germany in 1958 and is buried in a military cemetery in Germany.  Is it possible to get a death certificate for him and if so, how would I do this?  Where would I look to find out anything about his death?

TIA Sharon.

Hi Sharon

If it was registered as an overseas/regimental death you should find it on Findmypast. You can then order the death certificate from the (England and Wales) GRO site. If you do not have FindMyPast then post details of the deceased and someone will check FindMyPast for you.

If not available from the GRO, then this site may help - http://tinyurl.com/qdqy7vy
