Ok just for the sake of completion - and just in case anyone is reading this thread in the future - I bought the Oxfordshire PR transcripts for Burford and Oxfordshire Family History society have the marriage in the original post transcribed as follows

"14th February 1662 William Venfield married Elizabeth Goss"

There are no Benfields in the Burford PRs.

John Venfeild was baptised 13th April 1665 son of William.

Other Baptisms
1678 16th August Mary Venfeild daughter of William
1681 15th May Elizabeth Venfeild daughter of William
1683 14th January William Venfeild son of William
Burial
1684 25th August William Venfeild child of William

I think these are the children of William Venfield who married Jane Day in Shipton under Wychwood in 1678 whose later children were baptised at Great Rissington, Glos
