Hello!
I was wondering if anyone would be able to look up a marriage for me? It should be in either St Peters (where the bride was born) or in St Andrews (where the children were christened) - I thought those would be the most obvious. The groom is from Exeter, so I doubt that they got married there.
Groom: Joseph Price (born abt 1811)
Bride: Caroline (born abt 1814)
Their fist child was named Mary Ann Gregg Price on her baptism (1835) and Mary Ann Grey Price on her burial (also 1835). Both of these are FamilySearch transcriptions so I assume one of Gregg/Grey is correct. Could Gregg/Grey be Caroline's maiden name? The marriage must be somewhere around 1835 because of this daughter and their subsequent children.
Other helpful info - Joseph is described as a Waterman in the 1851, 1861 and 1871 census'. Any note on skin colour would be much appreciated if it's in the records - one of their granddaughters definitely has a black ancestor, so trying to trace the mystery of who it is!
The marriage records aren't online and I'm not sure when I can get to the archive, so any info is great appreciated
