Thank you Sue

May would have been about 40 yo  in 1952 . So Jeanette could well have been her daughter

Just came across this post.  May was my grandmother married to my grandfather, but disappeared from her children's lives forever when she left and they got divorced.

I did this research a while back now( part of a friends family tree) Unsure if your May NEVILLE /ARNOTT is the same person that I know about ?  From memory I found 2 different ladies with the same name combo and took my a while to work out who was who  .

What do you know about your May ?

Hi  I have just started researching this side of the family, even though I grew up knowing Jack, my mother never spoke of her mother, I found news of the very public divorce on Trove and have the marriage certificate which is why I know her maiden name, as well as the newspaper clippings, but other than that I don't have anything.  I suspected she remarried given the divorce petition mentions her affair but not the name of the other party.
I was quite surprised to read this old post and it can only be my grandmother May Arnott/Neville, Jack was NSW Police until he retired and my uncle Jim lived in Melbourne, died recently.  Any chance you recall second husband or parents details?
cheers J

OK............ dunno if youve ever come across a Mag or Aunty Mag ? Maybe maybe not. Thats me ........... Jim NEVILLE d 2013. Known him for years . Only saw Pat at John BRANDONs funeral just after Xmas with her 2 'hairy monster' ,sons . Fay and I have been friends for a lot of years ........ about 55 . I started researching her families and Johns quite a while ago now.  I did meet Jack NEVILLE once quite a few years ago now.

May Neville d 1957 . Her death notice is in Ryerson  Its crossed referred to a Pearlie May WRIGHT
who d later up in Qld??

So where do you fit in all this. I know Jim has a sister Monica but never met her .........    I think she lived over in WA ?

Hi Marg I am Monica's eldest daughter, born in Townsville QLD.  Auntie Barb was the youngest girl of Jack Neville, she  was the one who lived in WA, unfortunately my mum is now the last of his kids.  Pat is my aunt and the boys my cousins who I haven't seen for a few years as I live in the top end and don't get south much.  I remember as a kid of about 7ish visiting auntie Fay I think at a pub they once ran on the coast.
Cheers Jan
