Hi,
This is a long way back:
Trying to find any information on John Moses and Ann Laister/Lasiter married about 1789 Saint Leonards, Shoreditch London.
They had one known child Eleanor Marion Moses born about 1792 London.
Looking for more children to this marriage and possibly information on John and Ann's parents, birth years ect...................

He made his mark, she signed as Ann Laister, in the presence of Ann Laister and George Limming

St Botolph, Bishopsgate
1792 Jan 8, Eleanor, dau of John and Ann MOSES, born Dec 1

There's a burial at St Leonards
John Moses age 60 19.1.1800 Crown Court

Hi ciderdrinker,

Just found your post. Going on his age of 60 years old  at the time of his death and burial this would have him born about 1740. If this is the John Moses I am researching he would have been 49 years old when he married Ann Laister in 1789.  I suppose it's possible and  maybe that is why there is only one child that has been found to their marriage.
Oh dear, it raises more questions than answers.

Yes I know it would make him really old to be getting married for a first time.And I'm sorry but the pressing of time mean't I didn't look at every possible avenue to track him down.
Looking at the tax lists for London Ancestry there is a John Moses in the area 1774-1796 and various addresses.
Possible brother George Moses dies in St George in the East in 5.9. 1799 and leaves a Will.Money is left to brother John,sister Sarah Clarkson and nephews Thomas and George Wilson.
Strangley on sign of his burial .
