1938/39 electoral register New Cross/Ancoats, Manchester
« on: Friday 21 August 15 10:40 BST (UK) »
Hi, If anyone has access I am looking for the 1938/1939 entries for 3 Napier Street and particular Albert Rogerson and/or Elsie McCaffery

I am nowhere near Manchester I am afraid so cannot look them up myself but if anyone has access that would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi Celtic Kelly,
Find my Past have just added Manchester Electoral Registers on line.
They are as usual pay to view so if you haven't access you would need to buy a few credits and you do have to browse through the lists, so a bit of patience would be needed. ::)

Good luck with them. :)

Hi Dizzybella,

I am afraid I am not related to the McCafferys, one of my relatives married a McCaffery, so I have no information on them at all I am afraid. Sorry, I can't help.

Now that the 1939 Register is out, you can use the free 'advanced search' to see who lived on Napier Street in 1939.

Don't fill in a name, just put 'Napier' in the Street search box and 'Manchester' in the Borough/District box. then scroll down the list of names to find the ones you might be interested in. Doing it this way you can find out a certain amount without buying any credits.

Hi Barbara,
That is a great little trick!  :D  And, I see if we look alphabetically, both these people are living on Napier Street.  Love that!!
