Sarah was reported in the newspapers of the day as ARLAND which was probably caused by a reporter mishearing the name
Some articles state ARLAND/ARNOTT
Two different, but sister papers, Evening Herald Thurs Dec 20 1917 and Irish Independent Fri. Dec 21 1917 reported
"Mrs. Arland (Arnott?) the stewardess who was one of the drowned, was a widow with 4 young children, and was noted amognst her neighbours as a kindly, amiable lady, much attached to her children, with whom the greatest sympathy is felt."The SS Hare lies in a general sea depth of 60m and is orientated NE-SW and is largely intact.
As the SS Hare is over 100 years old, it is protected and a license is required to dive the site
