1851 census look up please

Hi
Can some kind person put me out of my misery please.....
I've "lost" William and Harriet James, their years of birth are 1813 and 1820 respectively and they were both born in Tewkesbury.  Their children Mary and George are with Harriet's mother but I would like to find the parents!

(Source FreeREG, several Siblings there also til 1808)

George MOSS Married Ruth LANE, 8 April 1792 same Church

Cant find Harriet Jones's Baptism or Ruth Moss's Marriage to Mr Jones.

As he's a waterman, maybe they dropped the kids off at their grandparents and set off for a long journey down river for the week (or a bit longer) and so couldn't be bothered with form-filling as they saw their home as being their boat at that stage of their lives.

Yes I think you are right and the Barnes are a 'red herring' as I have found them in 1841.

StanleyChestertons scenario is a likely one I think :)
