Here she is in 1881 census.

Then she marries David Neafsy in 1882 and I can't find her after that. Neafsy can unfortunately be spelled Neafsey/Navesey/Kneafsey/etc too.

Looking for Mary Neafsey/Navesy in 1891 census or a death record if she died.

I'm not sure but I think she died young so may have died shortly after marriage and that David emigrated to the US. I just can't find any death record for Mary.

is this David in 1881 census ?   spelt Nevsey

What year was Mary born ??...this is by far the most popular spelling on freebmd  NEAFSEY
1911 March Qtr - Dewsbury death of a Mary Neafsey aged 66 - so born 1846 -47
 when she married in 1882  was Mary about 35 / 36 ???

much nearer to Blackburn is this one
1923 in Salford - Mary Neafsey aged 63 - so born 1859-60

Ok York Neafsey is living with her mother Anna and is single in 1901 so I think we can safely say it is not Mary Hogan.

I will have a look for Salford Neafsey now. I would have thought Mary's death was earlier though as family history says David remarried.
