Camberwell (Non-Conformist?) Burial Records

Seeking a burial record for Richard WASTIE.  His death certificate records that he died on 04 MAR 1849 at St. George's Terrace, Wells Street, Camberwell.

His wife Catherine (nee WISEMAN) was buried at St. Leonards, Shoreditch, in 1839.  I have checked the online registers for this church and there's no sign of Richard.

I believe that Richard may have been a non-conformist - his children were all baptised at the Providence Chapel, Tichfield Street, St. Marylebone, in the early 1800s, and I'm still unable to find any record of his birth/baptism (around 1773 and not in Surrey - according to his death certificate and 1841 census record respectively).

Any help in finding any information about his burial would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

According to the parish burial register, he was buried at St George, Camberwell, on 9 March 1849, aged 76, from St George's Terrace. This is an Anglican church.

His will is on Ancestry.

Many thanks to you both for your replies.  I must admit that I was half expecting a non-conformist burial as his children had NC baptisms and there are other WASTIEs around in London at the same time who are obviously NCs.

I have his will, but it only mentions his children - not any wider family.

Still searching for his baptism and parentage ... !

I see you have someone buried at St George Camberwell, as do I. I'm trying to work out whether mine is still in the burial ground or whether he's been moved. Have you been able to trace whether your relative is still buried there? The ones in the crypt were moved before the church was converted to a block of flats.
