Johnstons in County Fermanagh
« on: Monday 11 July 05 05:55 BST (UK) »
I wonder if there is anyone who could do a birth look up for me?  My great grandfather was John J. "Harold" Johnston.  He was born around 1850 or 1851 in County Fermanagh (I'm sorry but I don't know which town).  He came to America around 1860 - 1865 (probably 1861).

I have no clue who his parents were, nor do I know if thats who he came over with.  I don't even know if he had siblings.  Any help would be tremendously appreciated...I've been tracking my Irish connections for almost 30 years now, and only now starting to get somewhere with it.  Thanks.

At this point in time, I have no way to confirm or deny any relationship to anyone.  However, as far as I know (which isn't far lol) I don't "think" any of my ancestors went to Austrailia for any reason.  If you should happen to find a link with my John J. "Harold" Johnston, please email again.  Thanks for trying.

There are a lot of Johnstons in Fermanagh.  Do you have any idea what townland they come from?
