joboy - were you going from Windows 7 to Windows 10?  I upgraded from 8.1 and everything, including contacts list is where it was before the upgrade.  When I bought this machine it already had Windows 8, but my old machine only had Vista and I had to copy everything across but, of course, that was using 2 machines which made it easier as I just ran a cable between the two.  I don't know why your contacts list hasn't apparently imported during the upgrade.  Perhaps you should just do a search for it, it might be on the computer somewhere, just not where you want it to be.  ::)

I've got FTM2014 running without any dramas.

Harry
It would seem that you are one of the luckier ones.
I did a search on FTM2014 AND W10 and there's quite a lot of moaning going on.

It depends which contact list. If you're changing to Windows 10 Mail app from Live Mail you should be able to import your contacts, in fact they may automatically appear when you register with your hotmail account as they did on my OH's laptop.

Yes I did go from 7 to 10 ....... I shall search for it as you suggest ........ getting a bit 'windy' of it now out of my comfort zone.

No problem here   ;D :D ;) :) 8) all working as before. Chrome

Ah just tried with Edge and you're right, it doesn't work! How odd, perhaps a message to Trystan so he can tweak it?

Muffin,

I'm sorry, but we're unable to replicate the problem that you're having with that so I'm afraid I'm at a bit of a loss to be able to help you.

Using MS Edge ..... and as said the smileys won't  simply insert by clicking on it. Although you can   drag the relevant smiley to the message using the mouse  - you simply end up with a line showing the link http://www.rootschat.com/forum/Smileys/classic/rolleyes.gif http://www.rootschat.com/forum/Smileys/classic/wink.gif

PS spell check also disabled although Edge does have one built in
