Thanks for the responses, I appreciate your input!
However!!
I did find
10 Jun 1806, Place: Pelynt, Father: John & Mother: Ann (OPC Database) (Thank You, again!)
There is a recorded burial for a John JAGO aged 4 on 15 Jan 1811, in Pelynt, who is most likely the 1806 child… given that a 'John & Ann' had another John in 1815, in Pelynt, it seems likely!
(IF ONLY they’d included maiden names!!)

Now, the record I found for a baptism
28 Mar 1805, Place: Pelynt, Father: John (Blacksmith) & Mother: Ann is only appearing on
http://www.thegenealogist.co.uk/search/advanced/parish/baptism/full/?s_id=812&id=700930 But the site is less than helpful as to where the information has come from: '
Parish » Parish Transcript Baptisms » Full' …sigh…
This date is quoted also by the lovely Amelia, one of the Cornwall OPCs (St Veep, I believe), but I have been unable to find any source, as yet.
I was hoping some very kind soul may have access to the actual parish registers for either Pelynt or St Veep, to have a look around this 1805 date to confirm the information for me…
Best wishes from a cold wintery Australia!
