Hello all,

I am trying to find the locations and camps of the 1st Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment between 1906 to 1913/1914

I saw on the 1911 census that they were at Shorncliffe camp, Kent and that in 1914 they were in Buttevane, Ireland, but I haven't been able to find any other locations between this date range.  (Wiki shows they were in Lichfield in 1903, but doesn't say where or when the other locations were).

Can anyone here help fill in the gaps please?

Thanks.

Jules.

Hi Jules

= Lichfield – 26 November 1903 to 17 October 1905
= Blackdown* to 28 December 1906
= Aldershot to 20 January 1909
= Shorncliffe to 1913
= Then to Ireland

*Blackdown is probably the one in Sussex near the border with Surrey. The dates will be when the CO moved.

Ken
