Training Ship 'Cornwall' Disaster 1915

August 30th 1915  is the centenary of the TS Cornwall disaster where 16 boys and the master were
killed in a training exercise on the River Thames off Purfleet Essex. The boys were buried together in a mass grave in the churchyard of St Clements Church West Thurrock their officer is buried near by in the same church yard.
There is a memorial service to commemorate the incident on August  30th in the churchyard at St Clements, if you would like to attend or are related to one of the boys that lost their lives that day we would like to hear from you, for more details visit the church website at  www.stclementwthurrock.co.uk
