Birthplace for joseph daugherty born in Londonderrry

Hi everyone from Australia,

I am trying to locate the birth details of 3Xgreat.grandfather
who according to his discharge papers was born in Londonderrry
in what appears to be Glenmurrah , that is what it looks like.

Can anybody help me?

Any idea of when he was born, parents' names, went to Australia, etc.? Doherty (and variants one of the most common surnames in Londonderry area).

'Londonderry' can refer to the City and vacinity or the County. In this case 'Glenmurrah' likely to be the townland of Glenmanus near the town of Coleraine (in the northeast corner of the county).

Just click on 'report to moderator' to get this moved to the correct board (DERRY/LONDONDERRY)
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
