Cooke family Parow

Hi All,

Looking for information on John William Cooke, his wife Margaret May nee Ainscough and daughter Doris. Believe 2 other kids born in SA. Also John's sister Mary died 1955 Parow.

Have you obtained a copy of his estate file  ?
MOOC   6/9/24273   2174/57   COOKE, JOHN WILLIAM. ESTATE PAPERS.  1957 1957
MOOC   6/9/16804   451/50   COOKE, MARGARET MAY. NEE AINSCOUGH. ESTATE PAPERS.  1950 1950

These would probably be a good start - available from the Cape Archives

This may be a long shot as your message was sent some time ago. I wonder if you managed to find anything out about John William Cooke? And if you may know his date of birth? I’m particularly interested in the “2 other kids born in SA” (if that is correct) Super grateful for a reply or any further info. Thank you!

Correction, John William Cooke died 1957/04/03 and his sister Mary Cooke died 1955/09/24.
