The building appears to be a Grade II Listed building.  Perhaps Historic England may be able to help you. The link to entry

Hi,
According to the listing the existing ' Rising Sun' pub was originally a Miners Welfare Institute built in 1908, bought by Tetleys in 1948 as replacement for original Rising Sun pub. The current building is a grade 2 listed, as is the adjoining terrace of cottages, and was designed by CFA Voysey for the Briggs family. When I lived in Castleford they had the distinction of being the only listed buildings in Castleford - I'm saying nothing else  ;D !!
It would seem from this information that the pub that your family ran may well have been the original 'Rising Sun' which appears, according to this information, to have been a different building,
If you want a photo of the current 'Rising Sun' there is one on Flickr.
