Finding a prison

Hi, one of my ancestors was imprisoned for 2 months in 1845. How can I find which prison he was sent to?
The details are: Andrew Burt, b.1822, trial in Middlesex England August 1845 for assaulting a police officer.
Any ideas please?!

A report in the The Times Friday, Aug 22, 1845 states that he was sentenced to two months imprisonment and hard labour in the
House of Correction
. This could have been Coldbath Fields Prison, or Tothill Fields Bridewell

Hello.
He is recorded on the HO77 records on the FindMyPast site. The source is given as the Newgate Prison Calendar.
(Along with Alexander Marney, he bashed 3 constables !!!)

Judges at the Old Bailey committed prisoners to two institutions more frequently than any others: Newgate Prison and the house of correction.
