79th Armoured division

I am looking at my father's WW2 military record.

He was in the above and spent some time based in Suffolk at the HQ SADE (Specialised Armour Development Establishment), possible 1942-45

Most abbreviations I have resolved but any enlightenment for these below would be of great help

R.A.C
W.T.P.P
"Posted to authority RAC Reco Administration A41/9283" in 1945
"YL7 list, authority EC Form R2 F/2" in 1946
"Class 'Z' (T)", Royal Army Reserves in 1946

1954 - Discharged having attained the age of 45, no further liability for recall.

Wilts OPC for Bishopstone, Keevil, Little Hinton, Potterne and Rowde
researching Cue, Hulbert, Hunt, Long, Pope and Redford

RAC is Royal Armoured Corps

The last 2 show that he left the regular army in 1945 and was transferred to the Reserves.  ie he was under notice to return to service but was discharged to civilian employment.  In 1954 his time as reservist was finished.

Is there anyone who has detailed military knowledge able to provide the answers to ..

I'd start a thread on the WW2 forum if you have already been there. Lesley is pretty good with those sort of things. I'm sure you'll find the answers as these 'Lists' and 'Class's' were looked at a few years ago to figure them out. There's also a couple of WW2 vets on the forum that are ex tankies who'll probably shed some light on it for you.
