Marion Young nee Baker
« on: Sunday 28 June 15 10:10 BST (UK) »
Hiya all,

I hope someone will be able to help me.

I'm trying to find out any information relating to an older cousin (Marion Baker) of my father.  He however only discovered this in 1976 when his mother died, as he believed Marion was his aunt and by this time he had moved a long way from the area of his maternal and paternal family and lost touch with most, if not all of his maternal aunt/uncles and cousins.

Marion Baker was born circa 1917 in Paddington District, London to an unmarried young mother Emily Ruth Baker (born 1901), but was brought up by her grandparents Henry Charles Baker and Sarah Spearey.

In December quarter 1941 Marion married Richard T Young in Hammersmith District and by this time (1933) her biological mother Emily was married to Edward Sheppard in Bath..... where Emily also died in June quarter 1973.

Any further information relating to this line of the family would sincerely be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you Ciderdrinker - this is quite interesting, as in 1942 when Henry Charles Baker died it is recorded that he has previously been living at 137 Mellitus Street - which I can only presume is the same address... 18 years later.

Once again thank you.
