If you right click the Start button and select Control Panel and then Hardware & Sound it should list your printer.  If not, select Add a printer.

My younger daughter visited today. She had a look at my computer and said "Ah"
She then said that my very old printer was not coping with the 20 or so items in the queue.
She deleted them and then printed a census I was wanting from Scotlands People!
 :)
Then she succeeded in printing a word document I had saved. ???

I have yet to try printing myself!

I have found younger daughters are very good with their 'ah'.  :)
They also solve problems very quickly. Where mine falls down is by explaining how to do it at less than 70 miles per hour speech rate / presses of keys . She just goes well you do this this and this...............

I have found sons are excellent computer techies too

With the aid of Skype and remote assistance, my son was able to fix our computer all the way from Switzerland!

I used my tablet to connect to him via Skype to show him exactly what was happening as the computer booted up. He then told me what keys to press to get to various parts of the operating system to fix whatever was wrong
once we got it to boot through to windows, he was able to "take over" the computer via remote assistance and fix everything else

Saved me a fortune (and lots of time) compared with taking it into local computer shop for repair / recovery
