I am a bit rubbish!

I wanted to know more about my Grandfathers side of the family. I dont know where to start!  My mother died at age 42, maiden name Whittle, her parents Lucy (nee Hunt) and Frank Whittle, Frank had a sister Em (could be Emily). My Dad refuses to talk about them (it must still hurt).  I do not know if Frank had a middle name, or even if his name was Francis, but he died in Nottinghamshire on 5th November 1969. I have nobody left to ask.  Do I forget about it as there is not alot of information. Your expertness is required please  :D

I will be wanting to find my husbands side too, but some of that will be in the belgian bit methinks!

There is a death registered for Frank William Whittle in the December Quarter 1969 in Nottingham
giving his date of birth as 29th January 1913. (Ref 3c 999)

There is also a marriage for Frank W Whittle to Lucy Hart in March quarter 1935 in Nottingham
(Ref. 7b 635)

There is an Emily L Whittle born 1910 in Nottingham which could be his sister.
