Welsh Choirs pre 1855
« on: Saturday 09 July 05 14:48 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find what choirs were in North Wales prior to 1855, as my g-grandfather John Williams, b Anglesey C1825, once sang before Queen Victoria, but as to where or when I have no idea.

It may have been at the massed choir at the Crystal Palace in 1851, but I can't find much about the choir or from where they came from

Does anyone have any info on either?

Tassie  :)

I can't tell you anything about choirs, but have a look at the following site.It gives you names.locations and contact phone numbers for various choirs throughout Wales.
I should imagine if you were to contact one or more of the persons named they would be able to answer your question....or at least know a man who could. :) :) :)

www.homecomingwales.com

Best of luck.
