Absolutely terrific - well done to all RC's involved.  ;D

I had never followed Diane's query and 30 pages following. But as I read through it, wow what a perfect example of the rootschat community pitching in and helping out.

Great to see how a free genealogy site can be as (if not more) interesting than any tv show where £££££'s is no object......well done all  ;D

I do hope it's added to the "Rootschat" CV  ???  ;D

It was great to see RC getting a mention. Just a pity that it gave the impression it was a family finding site - hence why there are quite a few new posts asking about living people. I bet they cut out the bits with Marg saying that, as it didn't suit the programme! It was a fabulous result for RC though.

It was certainly a lovely story.  I did not follow it originally though read through it the other day.  It was certainly a breakthrough finding her maiden name so quickly in the thread.  :)

The programme certainly brought rootschat some instant attention.  Well done to you all.

Hi,
I'm not quite sure if I'd like to be found if I didn't want to be found, and to have my family names splashed over the internet. The numerous number of new posts today that are looking for living people makes me feel a bit on the uncomfortable side.

Well done to all those who were involved though. I didn't see  the programme, I'm in Aus, but it seems a very good result  :)
Kind Regards :)

Admins are doing a very good job at removing names from all the newbie posts asking for help tracking down living relatives -- and referring the posters on to other sources of info
