It does not help when they name their children with the same first names as themselves  :)  At least the surname is not to common. Glad its sorted and you know where he is buried.

LOL  Tell me about it, I have a family of Discombe's in Devon and I think there is a John Discombe in every one, neither are they very far away from each other, nightmare

 BMD doesn't seem to bring up results to anything for me, even when I test by putting in known facts and I can't work out quite why....it's a long time since I looked at family history and something has obviously changed....
