I wonder if this is an indication that he was born in Yeovil  :-\    Maybe it is Fredericks grandfather and he was named after him.

Uriah Hull
Burial Date 13 April 1800
Burial Place Yeovil, Somerset
FHL Film Number 1526122

There are some examples of a William Hull in Yeovil a Master with apprentices for 'glovers'  shame it was not cordwainers, I wonder how different the training was.

Hi Rosie,

You could be on to something cordwainers so I been told trained as saddlers , glovers and shoes anything to to do with leather. There are a lot of William Hull's in Yeovil Ive looked before. One William Hull actually came to Victoria Australia but I haven't found the connection and he was a Glover from Yeovil  I have never come across a Uriah Hull before so Ill have to get to a latter day saint centre to check records.

Thats a Million Rosie it my birthday today best present ever  :-* :-* :-* :-*
cheeers

A cordwainer is a shoemaker who makes fine soft leather shoes and other luxury footwear articles.

So, not too far removed from making gloves, also from fine soft leather?
