Hello Trish,

Thanks for the information. I John Cherry married a Hannah Morriss 1843/44 registered in Berkhampstead which is close to the Astrope, Puttenham and Buckland places on the censuses.

Just keen to not go down the wrong path.

There are a couple of families in the same area with parents John and Hannah  Cherry as the parents so need to be very careful with the parents marriage.

Personally I would get one of the children's birth certificates to confirm this.

Family Tree's online have the marriage between John Cherry and Hannah Dear connected to a different family. ( NOT THAT THEY SHOW AND PROOF OF THIS BEING CORRECT ) so I believe the correct way forward is a child's birth cert .
