Looking for William Henry Whittaker b.06 Jul 1881, St Lukes,Holborn, London

can not discover wifes name or ant other details , nothing prior to 1911 census

Can you tell us what the 1911 says.  We cannot look it up for you but you can give us information that would help locate him earlier.  Does he have a wife - children etc

1911 census has his occupation as a Seaman living at 6 Cross St, Southsea.
wife's name is Mrs W Whittaker born 1878 in Barking Essex
3 children
Ethel Maud Whittaker b. 1904 Barking
James Alfred Whittaker b 1907 Barking
Florence Ada Whittaker b.1910 Havant

This marriage is possible - maybe the Mrs W means Mrs William

Possibly Ada Susan Quy as daughter has Ada as name  :-\ She married Alfred White
I can't see birth registrations for the first two children in Romford RD though.

Getting his Birth Cert would reveal his parent(s) name(s) & might help find him in 1891/1901 census ...
