Marriage lookup Frank Brown and Mary Ann Mar Midgley in 1897

Hi,

If anyone has access to the records for St Mary Magdalene Church, East Keswick -

I am looking for details of the marriage between Frank Brown and Mary Midgley which took place at
there in 1897. Mary's father would be Charles Henry Midgley.

East Keswick is a chapelry of Harewood parish registers held by West Yorkshire archives.

The registers are held Leeds branch of West Yorkshire archives

You have a few options

The marriage should be on Ancestry.co.uk and .com

Either wait till they have a free weekend on their website

Join as a subscribed member or buy credits for a set time on the website

(Advise quickest best option -if you live abroad bear in the time of opening of the Huddersfield library maybe in the middle of your night ? if you live in Australia- if so add 44 before the telephone number in the link)

Huddersfield library have the registers on microfilm and they give 1/2 hour free look up service to give you the info verbally over the phone or they can send you a copy for a small nominal price for around £2 with print and post cost

Purchase the GRO marriage certificate

The easiest thing would be to purchase the certificate from the GRO:

Marriages Sep 1897   
BROWN  Frank    Wetherby  9a 203   Sca
MIDGLEY  Mary Ann M     Wetherby  9a 203   
(ensure you spell Midgley the way it appears above)

Now we know the marriage was between June to Sept 1897 -Give a me a few days before sending  for any certificate, I'll pop into Leeds archive as I need some fag rolling bacco anyway, as it alot cheaper in Leeds market as excuse to go to Leeds..

Thanks for the offer of checking the entry at Leeds archive. I have access to ancestry but haven't been able to find the marriage.

The details on Yorkshire BMD are

BROWN   Frank   MIDGLEY   Mary A M   St Mary Magdalene, East Keswick   Leeds   CE122/14

The reference number given - CE122/14 shows it will be entry 14 in the marriage book.
