Err.... Finally unlocked!!!!

Had to search the web locking problems, which should have been resolved by now.

Came to the conclusion, there was a conflict with Avast. I disabled Avast and restarted, Taskbar not locked but still couldn't use "search" and neither was the windows start button working correctly.
I updated Avast, restarted the laptop and all is well. Turned Avast back on and still behaving properly.


Phew.....

Please acknowledge when a restorer works on your photos, it can take hours for them to work their magic

Please scan at 300dpi minimum to help save the restorers eyesight.

I am useless about techy type thingies ::)

My only question at this stage is, what size is the download and does it use up my ISP data allowance ??? ???

I am sure there will be more questions when the time comes, but that is all for now!

Snap, is your broadband limited then?

Windows download is abt 6gb which is huge. It took ages even with 50gb download speed.

If you are limited, then could you "visit" a friend or family member, with your pc or laptop, who has unlimited broadband.

It will use your allowance but unable to determine size of file downloaded.
[What are your allowances by the way?]

Ok, I'm giving it a thumbs up now the install has settled down.  ;D ;D ;D

If you are used to using a tablet, then you will be at home with it.

My only niggle so far, is that it took off spider solitaire. They have it windows store (free) but for some reason its not downloading. I think I can live without a game for now :o   :-[

Thanks for the prompt replies JC and Brian :)

I use a dongle, have not got the best coverage, and I have got a total of 20gb but that has to last me a month!  I tried downloading today without success, don't think my speed is good enough!

I will keep you updated, but I am not in any hurry!
