Hello
I am looking to find any information on Captain James Corbett Lang KOSB who met his death on 12th July during the Gallipoli Campaign, ie his family,home town etc. Thank you.

Hi John...There is a Probate entry for 1920...James Corbet Lang, KOSB died on or since 12th July 1915 on active service confirmation of Widow: Mary Lilian Mustard or Lang.

It's a long shot but the closest match I could find was James Lang married to Lilian...living in County Down, Ireland and he was a Captain in the regular forces..born in Canada in 1875 ...you can carry out a free search here;

Thank you for the information on James C Lang. I have downloaded the image of Helles and register. I am not certain that your J Lang's marriage  is my one. I was hoping he would have been a Border man. I will keep searching as I have just started my search on this person.  Eneri.

Good find....The only match I found for him in the UK him was on the Irish 1911 census as being born in Canada....so it all fits.
