Hoping someone can help me prove or disprove an idea I have.
A distant cousins wife was called Florentina M Benson, born c1837 in Elsinore, Denmark. She married Robert Henry Williams in Kensington, London in 1857.
On searching for information on her I came across this entry on familysearch:
Florentine Mariane Baggesen
Gender: Female
Christening Date: 14 Jun 1836
Christening Place: TRINITATIS,KOBENHAVN,KOBENHAVN,DENMARK
Birth Date: 05 May 1836
Father's Name: Berkmann Ludvig Baggesen
Mother's Name: Marie Johanne Lund
Indexing Project (Batch) Number: C20106-6 , System Origin: Denmark-ODM , GS Film number: 44561
The names are pretty similar as is year of birth, though I know Copenhagen is not the same place as Elsinore. Are there any records available in Denmark which would show Florentine Baggesen living in Denmark, and therefore disprove my theory that she is Florentina Benson?
I have found her in the UK census' for 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1901, but have not been able to find out when she arrived in the UK and have not found her or her family in 1891. I have not yet obtained a copy marriage certificate (which would show her father), only because it's my own little rule to only get certificates for my direct ancestors unless absolutely necessary.
Would be very grateful for any suggestions, help or guidance on online resources I could check.
