I find it amusing (if that is the right word

) that one particular MS packet (NetFrameworks) was about 50 MB big when it was introduced, and since then, there have been several hundred MB in updates !!
Like, you buy a new car, and then the manufacturers send you the equivalent of 5 cars worth of updated bits and pieces, just to keep it on the road

ps .
When I switch off my computer at work, I sometimes get a message
"Updates being loaded, do not switch off your computer"
So I don't, I just leave it and go home. The computer switches itself off after the updates are finished, but when I switch it on again the next day ...
"Updates are being installed 1 of ..... "
and then it's just "abwarten und Tee trinken !" as the saying (here) goes !
("wait and drink tea")
