I have purchased a document on local market (Manchester) it refers to Martin Tucker renting Town and Land to Richard Chaloner and Robert Crawford.in 1767
if anyone would like more details please ask.

Chaloner is a very unusual name.There is a Richard Chaloner in Griffiths here...it's a later date but could be related?

He seems to have a lot of land ... I didn't look at the acreage. This is the only Chaloner in Griffiths.There's a William Crawford in Loughan, Kells too

Richard Chaloner was the son of Claude William Cole-Hamilton.
His mother was Nicola Sophia Chaloner.
Upon her death he changed his name to Chaloner.

Leitrim Upper is in the Barony of Lower Kells Meath...so not County Leitrim.

So sorry I've only just found this document again. The legal ease is hard for me to read as I'm Dyslexic. all I can make out at the moment is they rented Townland an land
at leitrim for a peppercorn rent for 1 year
