Hi again Janey, nearly all the information that has been obtained for you was freely available on Freebmd, for any births post 1911 eg any possible children of Doris Emily Giffen to Ernest W Gamble, just click on births, then in Surname put Gamble and then in spouse/mother surname Giffen, choose a date range say 1930 to 1940 and click find, this will bring up all the births of a Gamble/Giffen marriage.

But to help out:-

Deaths

Winifred Barbara Searby born 18th October 1910 died Jamuary 1992 Great Yarmouth, Norfolk v10 page 1453 aged 81

Florence Louisa M Humphreys born 17th August 1903 died December 1992 Great Yarmouth v10 page 1321 aged 89

James was in London by the 1891 census, a boarder in the household of Benjamin LEMAN, also a metallic cask maker.

Can't see him in 1901 census.

Hi Jane, the 1939 register is now published for all civilians residing in England & Wales in September that year. However those born less than 100 years ago will be redacted unless their death is recorded prior to 1991. For free preview searches, see findmypast.co.uk

Details of some births can be found as follows:
Glyn Picton HUMPHREYS, Nov 1902 Swansea, Wales
James Alexander GIFFEN, Jan 1905 Poplar
Irene Gladys HARRIS, 1905 Q2 Lewisham
Ernest William GAMBLE, Mar 1904 Poplar
I can't find Doris GAMBLE in 1939, but I believe they had 2 children.
Edith married Frederick BAKER in 1941 at Bromley and they had 3 children.
I also can't find Walter SEARBY in 1939 and Winifred is staying with Florence & Glyn HUMPHREYS in Orpington, listed as SEALY.

It looks like there were no Giffen descendants from this branch.
Regards
John

 HI John,, :)

WOW so nice to hear from you it's been a long time,eh,,glad to see you are
still in the family-tree-business,, :)
Thank you a bunch for the info on my Giffen relatives,,I  never met any of them
myself but my Father used to work down in Eng/UK after the war and always stayed
with his Uncle James.Looking at the names of these children I can see where they are
named after a previous generation. You will remember me searching James Giffen (b)
Glasgow 1841(mar) Mary Pursell (b) Campbeltown,1838. they had children James,(b)
Jarrow,Durham,Barbara & Emily (b) Glasgow, and my Granfather Archibald Pursell Giffen,
(b) Poplar,Eng,,,
I am amazed at the ages these relatives lived/died quite wonderful really my "Gramps"
was 86yrs when he died in 1960,and all my Father's siblings lived to a ripe old age,the
oldest Christina to 103yrs,,my Father was 93yrs when he died here in Canada,,,so I have
always stated I have good genes and hope to live  to the same old age, good health willing. ::)

Hope you and family are all well John,,,I still keep in touch with John in Paisley ,,bye for now

Kind regards to all my R/C "buddies" for your info help,,,,

Janey :)
