Eventually found family (thanks to daughter Bertha) in 1871 at Mendlesham but surname listed as Davy!   As well as Hannah being one of the listed children it also includes a stepdaughter named Mary Ann Spiers.   Looked for Marriage of William and Eliza and he married as William Davy to Eliza Spiers Mar.qtr.1864 Hartismere.

Can anyone please help me find the birth of Eliza Spears/Spear/Spere, and also the name of her mother?
Thank you all!

The 1861 census you have mentioned gives her mothers name as Mary Ann born 1816 Rickinghall Suffolk:

'Suffolk 1861 Census
Address:   Front Street      District:   Mendlesham

William Spere, 50 (1811), Head
Eliza   Spere, 24   (1837), Daughter, b. Mendlesham
Mary Ann   Spere, 4 (1857), Grand Daugh, b. Mendlesham'

So possible marriage:

William Spears
Mary Ann Sheppard
Marriage: 02 Apr 1834 Mendlesham

Thank you sgf28! It's nice to talk to you again!  :)

Looking at the 1851 Census, which is the oldest I can find her on (Eliza), and seing only her father and a daughter, I assumed that Eliza's mother died and also that Eliza was a single mother. It makes sense that the name of her first daughter is the same as the name of her mother (just this morning I saw the same thing happen in another branch of my family tree).

I didn't see the "mentioned ... mothers name as Mary Ann born 1816 Rickinghall Suffolk"...

I will try to find her death record / burial record.
Do you also find deaths/burials the most difficult details to confirm?  ???

This morning I've been lucky!  ;)

It's not easy to track this family because the surname keeps changing from census to census.
My initial idea was that William Spear's wife (Mary Ann) had died, and I found a death entry on FreeBMD of a Mary Ann SPEAR d. MAR qtr. 1860 at Hartismere (Suffolk), but it seems I was wrong, since I've found the whole family in the 1861 Census but with the surname SPIRE  ::)

William Spire        Head       M    50    Rickinghall, Suffolk
Mary Ann Spire    Wife       F    45    Rickinghall, Suffolk
Eliza Spire            Daughter    F    24    Mendlesham, Suffolk
Hannah Spire       Daughter    F    17    Mendlesham, Suffolk
Henry Spire          Son       M    14    Mendlesham, Suffolk
Emma Spire          Daughter    F    9    Mendlesham, Suffolk
Deborah Spire      Daughter    F    4    Mendlesham, Suffolk
Mary Ann Spire    Granddaughter    F    4    Mendlesham, Suffolk
Nathan Chiles         Visitor       M    19    Mendlesham, Suffolk

(Source: FamilySearch)

(Underlined are the family members I am interested in. Now I would like to find birth, baptisms, marriage and deaths places and dates about them).
Any help, would be greatly appreciated!

PS: How would I know which one is the correct surname: Spear, Spears, Spere, Spier, Spiers, Spire?
And why does it change so much (a transcript error, or was it such an uncommon surname in the region)?

James Sheppard (single)
Elizabeth Williams (single)
Marriage: 10 Jan. 1815
Rickinghall, Suffolk, England

And it seems to me they only had 1 daughter (Mary Ann Sheppard)...
