WW1 injured records

Does anyone know if there are any records available for soldiers injured during ww1.
I have tried the war diaries which list injured offices individually but not enlisted men.
Have no idea if VAD hospitals held any records or even if they did where to find them.
Did the hospital ships have any records and if so where would you find them?
Did any newspapers list injured WW1 casualties?
My grandfather was injured sometime after Nov 1915 and finished up at a VAD hospital - I am at a loss for where to look - maybe there are no records as there were so many injured.
Any help would be appreciated

I think you will be lucky to find anything. Though on saying that for the two injured WW1 soldiers I've researched: for the first I bought a copy of his pension record which contained a few words describing his injuries; For the second all I, or rather someone else, found was one page in a local archive that mentioned him being in a particular hospital in France with 'Trench Fever Mild'.
Having also researched a WW1 Nurse, in my experience there's not much if anything regarding WW1 hospitals left.

Many local newspapers had lists of dead or wounded etc. I have searched these through Findmypast.

The Times also published lists, at least until the numbers became too great.  It is available online in many public libraries in UK.

From replies I have located one record on The Genealogist for T F Larkham (my grandfather), shown as wounded with a record date of 1916.
I am a little loathed to pay a subscription fee of £100 just to look at this record.
If there is anyone with access to this database on a diamond membership I would be very happy to pay a reasonable amount for looking up the record on my behalf.

More often than not they are just list of names with Regiment and sometimes home town ..

The records in the Geneaologist are those in the Times up to mid 1917 and those in the War Office Weekly casualty lists thereafter.

As Ady says it is a list of name/number/(home town after late 1916) in Regiment order.

T F Larkham 12759 is in a list of wounded Dorset Regt men in Times dated 25 8 1916. This is what that geneaologist record is. There is a general consensus that there is usually 4 to 6 weeks from event to list. He looks to have been wounded in the opening few weeks of the Somme

You will probably know he was 6th Bn?
