Looking at the Building Return for 1901 and 1911 I'd say Edward Stanton is living in their house in 1911.
The Stanton household is listed beside Ellen McInerny in both and only one place difference with Mary Rice

Thank you Sinann - but William seems to be in House No 10 in 1901 & in 1911 Edward is in House 14.  I believe the 2 were brothers but Edward had returned from USA. It would make sense that he would be in Williams house if he had died (death record from Myluck)  :)

ballydw
just to note that the house numbering during the census was based on where the enumerator started rather than a specific system!

This is why Sinann pointed out who the neighbours were

There are other death records that could be this family I would check before accepting those I suggested are absolutely correct
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller

Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder

Thank you myluck for pointing out the numbering criteria to me I wasnt aware.
Also I had found a death for a William in 1921 Fermoy age 75 , which would tally near enough with age he gave on census in 1901 age 56. I also found a marriage to anne o brien in 1895. I will check out the Death records. :)

Sorry for butting in and its very much a long shot.
My greatgrandfather John Walsh married Catherine Graven in Bilston Staffs in 1849 and a witness was a was a Thomas Stanton. (the other was Margret Doyle). I am not sure where they originated from in Ireland but it could have been Cork. A long shot but if this means anything to anyone I would be pleased to hear,
Thank you.
